Legislative Successes - 2009
Oregonians with disabilities have a strong voice in the legislature.
DRO was deeply involved in the passage of new protections for individuals with mental illness in hospital emergency rooms and broader state authority to protect vulnerable adults from abuse and neglect. Also, a new DRO-supported law requires training high school coaches to recognize traumatic brain injury.
