State agencies will submit proposals for cuts to reach a target estimated at 8 percent of their spending from the tax-supported general fund for the nine months (starting Oct. 1) remaining in the current budget cycle. Proposals will be gathered by state budget officials and posted online; Gov. Ted Kulongoski will review them. The Legislative Emergency Board is scheduled to meet Sept. 22-23 and could make some changes.
