America's Heroes at Work
- America's Heroes at Work is a US Department of Labor (DOL)
project that focuses on the employment challenges of returning service
members living with Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and/or Post-Traumatic
Stress Disorder (PTSD).
Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center (DVBIC)
- DVBIC's mission is to serve active duty military, their dependents and veterans with traumatic brain injury (TBI) through state-of-the-art medical care, innovative clinical research initiatives and educational programs.
National Center for
Parents with Disabilities and their Families (NCPDF)
- NCPDF, which is part of Through the Looking Glass, empowers parents and potential parents who have disabilities by disseminating disability-appropriate information regarding parenting to parents, disability advocates, and legal, medical, intervention and social services providers. The Center's overall goal is to increase information and support more disability-appropriate resources for parents with disabilities and their children throughout the United States.
National Organization of Veteran's Advocates, Inc. (NOVA)
- NOVA's mission is to develop and encourage high standards of service and representation for all persons seeking benefits through the federal veterans benefits system.
National Veterans Legal Services Program (NVLS)
- NVLSP has been the voice of veterans’ rights for more than 25 years. NVLSP is an independent, non-profit, charitable organization acting to ensure that the U.S. government honors the pact made with our 25 million veterans. NVLS serves these forgotten men and women through advocacy and training, education and publications, and pro bono litigation.
Real Warriors Campaign
- The Real Warriors Campaign is an initiative launched by the Defense Centers of Excellence for Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury (DCoE) to promote the processes of building resilience, facilitating recovery and supporting reintegration of returning service members, veterans and their families.

US Department of Veterans Affairs
- The VA's goal is to provide excellence in patient care, veterans' benefits and customer satisfaction.
VA Northwest Health Network
- The VA Northwest Health Network, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 20, includes the states of Alaska, Washington, Oregon, most of the state of Idaho, and one county each in Montana and California. Their network of health care facilities is comprised of six medical centers, one independent outpatient clinic, one rehabilitation center, 21 community based outpatient clinics (CBOCs), and one mobile clinic. Other services include seven nursing home care units, two homeless domicillaries, and 14 readjustment counseling centers.
Vet Centers
- Vet Centers provide readjustment counseling and outreach services to all veterans who served in any combat zone. Services are also available for their family members for military related issues. Veterans have earned these benefits through their service and all are provided at no cost to the veteran or family.
VetDogs

Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program
- The Veterans Consortium Pro Bono Program was created in 1992, with a dual mission: to recruit and train attorneys in the fledgling field of veterans’ law; and to provide assistance to unrepresented appellants at the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (Court).
Veterans Healing Initiative (VHI)
- VHI is the first and only charitable organization dedicated entirely to providing funding for treatment programs that are specifically designed for veterans who suffer from substance abuse and PTSD.
Wounded Warrior Project
- The mission of the Wounded Warrior Project is to honor and empower wounded warriors. This is achieved by raising awareness and enlist the public’s aid for the needs of severely injured service men and women; helping severely injured service members aid and assist each other; and by providing unique, direct programs and services to meet the needs of severely injured service members.
