AVITA

  • AVITA is committed to providing businesses, government and non-profit agencies, and financial institutions business services that enhance cultural expansion by targeting women and minorities, persons with disabilities, and veterans bridging the gap of economic development and community diversity.

The Helping Our Heroes Foundation

  • The Helping Our Heroes Foundation provides funding, services, and volunteers to augment the support of the military injured in either Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) or Operation Iraqi Freedom, and runs parallel to the initiatives identified in the U.S. Army Wounded Warrior Program (AW2).  The role of the foundation is to provide patient advocates, identify and fund educational opportunities for the soldier, coordinate specialty counseling (financial assistance, career, housing, etc.), and assist with emergency funding needs as deemed appropriate.

Incight Employment

  • Through Incight Employment, any person with a disability will have access to a list of opportunities at companies, organizations, and institutions that are looking for volunteers, interns and employees.  Further, Incight Employment will give students resources for improving their chances of getting an internship, volunteering, or finding employment; resources like resume building, interview assistance, and the chance to speak with someone at Incight Employment who can offer advice and guidance.

Job Accommodation Network (JAN)

  • JAN's mission is to facilitate the employment and retention of workers with disabilities by providing employers, employment providers, people with disabilities, their family members and other interested parties with information on job accommodations, entrepreneurship, and related subjects. JAN's efforts are in support of the employment, including self-employment and small business ownership, of people with disabilities. JAN represents the most comprehensive resource for job accommodations available.

Job Developers Network (JDN)

  • The Job Developers Network (JDN) is dedicated to empowering workforce professionals to build communities to assist job seekers in connecting to, obtaining and retaining employment.

Oregon Business Leadership Network (OBLN)

  • The Oregon Business Leadership Network (OBLN) provides Oregon businesses with networking opportunities, education, and resources to effectively increase understanding and awareness of disability issues in the workplace.

Oregon Commission for the Blind

  • The mission of the Oregon Commission for the Blind is to assist blind Oregonians in making informed choices and decisions to achieve full inclusion and integration in society through employment, independent living, and social self–sufficiency.

Oregon Disability Chamber (ODC)

  • The Oregon Disability Chamber represents the economic development interests for entrepreneurs with disabilities starting or expanding their own businesses.

Oregon’s Independent Living (IL) Centers

  • Centers for independent living (CILs) are private, nonprofit corporations that provide services to maximize the independence of individuals with disabilities and the accessibility of the communities they live in.

Oregon’s Office of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (OVRS)

  • Helps individuals with disabilities prepare for, secure, retain or regain gainful employment, including advancing in employment if currently underemployed due to disability.  Provides employment evaluations, training and other work related services to eligible persons with disabilities.

Youth Oregon Disabilities Association (YODA)

  • By utilizing Yoda as a metaphor, students in the Portland metropolitan area will gain understanding on the wisdom necessary in building a business, the ability to master the unknown, and entrepreneurship.  The project will set out a paradigm shift in the city of Portland where more can be expected of those with disabilities.
