 Access Technologies, Inc. (ATI)

  • Oregon’s statewide Assistive Technology Program, ATI specializes in ergonomic risk assessments, assistive technology evaluations, technology training services, and the Oregon Technology Access for Life Needs Project  (TALN).

Alliance for Technology Access (ATA)

  • ATA’s mission is to increase the use of technology by children and adults with disabilities and functional limitations.  The ATA is a growing national network of technology resource centers, organizations, individuals and companies.  ATA encourages and facilitates the empowerment of people with disabilities to participate fully in their communities.  Through public education, information and referral, capacity building in community organizations, and advocacy/policy efforts, the ATA enables millions of people to live, learn, work, define their futures, and achieve their dreams.

AltFormat.org

  • Altformat.org is a non-profit organization levying at international governments for the rights of people with learning disabilities, blindness, low vision and print impairments to access information in alternative formats.  Altformats refer to the transcription of books or other content (such as notes, books or study materials) into a format other than standard print.  At present, the Right to Read Alliance estimates that 96% of books published in print are not made available in accessible formats.  This means that 96% of published content remains inaccessible to people with visual impairments and learning disabilities.

DBTAC Northwest

  • DBTAC Northwest was established by Congress to serve business, state and local government and people with disabilities as they work together to meet the challenges of disability and its impact on society.  Their call center provides free consultation to questions regarding compliance with the ADA, and how to effectively respond to the formula driven process of accommodating the human condition in employment, accessibility, transportation, and access in the information age.

Fair Housing Council of Oregon

  • Provides education and outreach services explaining fair housing laws, as well as enforcement and investigations regarding complaints received for Oregon and Clark County, Washington.

Family Center on Technology and Disability

  • FCTD supports organizations and programs that work with families of children and youth with disabilities, offering a range of information and services on the subject of assistive technologies.

Incight Independence - Accessible Technology Loans

  • Incight’s accessible technology loans evolved out of the need for people with disabilities to have access to appropriate and high-caliber assistive technology.  In addition to Incight’s low-interest loans, Incight To Go has been developed as a lending library of such equipment for Incight students and scholars on an individual and an as-needed basis.  Incight To Go, in consultation with the professional community, provides students with the opportunity to access assistive technology that meets their immediate and individual needs.

Oregon’s Independent Living (IL) Centers

  • Centers for independent living (CILs) are private, nonprofit corporations that provide services to maximize the independence of individuals with disabilities and the accessibility of the communities they live in.

Oregon’s Office of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (OVRS)

  • Helps individuals with disabilities prepare for, secure, retain or regain gainful employment, including advancing in employment if currently underemployed due to disability.  Provides employment evaluations, training and other work related services to eligible persons with disabilities.

Oregon Technology Access Program (OTAP)

  •  OTAP offers statewide services for children from birth to 21 including information, training, technical assistance referral and a used equipment marketplace.

The VA's goal is to provide excellence in patient care, veterans' benefits and customer satisfaction.
