Martinez v. Astrue - Class Notice
The case challenges Social Security’s illegal policy of denying or suspending SSI and Social Security benefits based on the mere existence of a felony warrant and ignoring the statutory and regulatory requirement that there be a determination that the applicant or recipient was “fleeing to avoid prosecution or custody or confinement after a conviction” for a felony.
