How do I report a suspected case of abuse or neglect?
Everyone has a responsibility and are encouraged to choose to report suspected cases of abuse and neglect to your local Seniors and People with Disabilities (SPD) or Area Agency on Aging (AAA) office. You may also report abuse to the Department of Human Services (DHS) at 1-800-232-3020. In an emergency, call 911.
Who are mandatory reporters?
Oregon state law mandates that workers in certain professions must make reports if they have reasonable cause to suspect abuse or neglect. These people are called mandatory reporters. Find out who are considered to be mandatory reporters here.
