Join NWDSA on July 9th at Tony Starlight’s Supper Club and Lounge (3728 NE Sandy Blvd Portland, OR 97232) for a fun night of laughter and good cheer.

The NWDSA is a local non-profit organization that serves hundreds of families in Portland and Southwest Washington whose lives are touched by Down syndrome.  They are a registered 501(c)(3) that has been working with families for the past 10 years.  They are a parent-driven, mostly volunteer organization working at the grass-roots level to help our community include individuals with Down syndrome, and other disabilities, fully in the fabric of our daily lives.

The proceeds from the 007 event will go towards NWDSA's ongoing and vital outreach to new families.  They offer support and information - including a unique and empowering New Parent Guide - to families who contact them upon receiving a pre- or post-natal diagnosis of Down syndrome.  Proceeds from the event will also go towards the 2009 Summer Social, an event that gives families in our community the opportunity to come together to celebrate our children, share stories, and enjoy a great time.  Last summer's Barnyard Social brought over 200 families out on one of the hottest days of the summer, and we hope to match that this year.
