This milestone of U.S. civil rights legislation protects people with disabilities from discrimination in the areas of employment, transportation, and public accommodation.  The law requires a wide range of public and private establishments to make new and renovated facilities accessible to people with disabilities and to make “readily achievable” changes to existing facilities in order to increase accessibility.

Come join the celebration of this landmark legislation and reinvest yourself in a commitment to support people with disabilities in our community.

Sponsored by: Portland State University Campus Events & Guest Services, Office of Neighborhood Involvement Disability Program and The Northwest ADA Disability and Business Technical Assistance Center

Planning Partners include: The MS Society of Oregon, Oregon Health Science University, The Independent Living Resources, The Portland Commission on Disability, Connecting Communities Coalition, Elders in Action, Care Medical, Multnomah County Disability Services Advisory Committee, Office of Neighborhood Involvement Disability Program, The Region ADA Technical Center, Portland State University Disability Resource Center, Portland State University Conference and Events Office, TriMet, Disability Rights Oregon, Portland Habilitation Center NW, Ride Connection, Multnomah County
